Ah, yes, because society has never imposed gender constructs on individuals ever, and those constructs have never worked to the detriment of anyone…um, that’s not reality. Socially imposed gender roles are a thing, and you can’t wish them away. I’m sure it’s deeply frustrating to you that people’s lived experiences of how the world actually works don’t match up to your “universal principles.” People who are peddling “universal principles” usually have a vested interest in being the ones who choose what those principles are, and inevitably, they choose principles that work to paint themselves as heroes, and those who dare to challenge them as villians. Sorry, but I’m under no obligation to agree with your fantasies of how things ought to be.
